What Kind of Joints are often used for Teflon Conveyor Belts

If you want to convey some high-temperature products, you must not use ordinary conveyor belts. The temperature resistance range of ordinary conveyor belts is -10 °C to +80 °C. Using ordinary conveyor belts will not only shorten their service life, but also affect the product. Therefore, as long as the temperature exceeds 80 degrees, we recommend using high-temperature-resistant conveyor belts. Teflon conveyor belts are a common type of high-temperature-resistant conveyor belt. What are the commonly used joints for this type of conveyor belt?

Unlike Teflon mesh belts, the presence of Teflon conveyor belts is always specious because of the existence of mesh belts. They all belong to the Teflon category, but there are great differences in both use and structure, and this difference is also reflected in the joints.

If you want to install Teflon conveyor belts on equipment, you must connect them into a ring. At the same time, because Teflon conveyor belts use glass fiber or Kevlar as the core material for the belt body, they are not superior in softness compared to other conveyor belts. They are relatively complex, meaning they are not easily bent naturally.

This step needs to be completed by splicing. There are two main forms of splicing: bull-nose joint splicing and steel buckle splicing. In contrast, steel buckle splicing has more restrictions. Teflon conveyor belts, which are usually spliced in this way, are typically cloth belts. Due to the special use environment and form, they are rarely used. Bull-nose joints are widely used, and they are commonly found between mesh belts and cloth belts.

Teflon conveyor belts processed in this way can be spliced quickly and intuitively, which is a simple and efficient process. The structure similar to hinges and pins does not affect the transmission. When the Teflon conveyor belt adopts this splicing method, a section of mesh belt will be added to the head to install the joint.
