Many people wonder how food PU conveyor belts are spliced. After all, splicing food PU conveyor belts requires ensuring strength, hygiene, safety, and a longer service life.
Food PU Conveyor Belt Splicing Methods
Bevel Splicing: First, cut the ends of the conveyor belt at a 45-degree angle. This increases the bonding area and ensures more even force distribution. Then, carefully apply food-grade glue to the cross-section. Then, press the ends together and allow the glue to cure. For example, in the baking industry, bevel splicing is used when conveying bread and cakes. This prevents scratching the food. The cured glue forms a single-piece structure that can withstand the tensile forces of continuous conveying, ensuring stable conveying.
Hot Vulcanization Splicing: This is a preferred splicing method. Cut the belt to the customer’s specified dimensions. Punch the cut pieces of food PU conveyor belt at different angles to create interlocking teeth. Then, heat-scald the belt to secure the joints. Finally, hot vulcanize the belt according to the belt’s relevant specifications. This series of processes cross-links the molecular chains at the joints, achieving joint strength close to that of the belt itself. Under high-load conditions, such as in meat processing plants conveying frozen raw materials, PU conveyor belts with hot-vulcanized joints ensure stable operation and are less prone to cracking. Thicknesses: 0.80mm, 0.95mm, 1.1mm, 1.5mm, 2.0mm, 3.0mm, 5.0mm, and more.
For different production processes, for example, conveying light food may require a thinner belt, such as 0.8mm or 1.1mm, while conveying heavier items or in more complex conveying environments may require a thicker belt, such as 2.0mm or even 5.0mm.
Widths: 100mm, 150mm, 200mm, 250mm, 300mm, 350mm, 400mm, etc.
Our conveyor belts are available in a variety of standard lengths, such as 800 mm, 1000 mm, 1200 mm, 1500 mm, 2000 mm, and 2500 mm. Depending on their production line layout and specific conveying requirements, companies can easily choose the most suitable combination of width and length for their operations.
Conveyor belts come in different lengths, like 800mm, 1000mm, 1200mm, 1500mm, 2000mm, and 2500mm. Companies can pick the right width and length to fit their production line and what they need to move.
SCplus Food PU Conveyor Belt Colors
White: This is a common color. For example, many shiny PU conveyor belts are white, and some can also be made in light blue or with a matte surface. White belts are often used to carry food in clear packages, like candy and jelly.
Blue: Blue belts can have a matte or glossy surface. Blue looks simple and clean, and it also helps find dirt more easily. The matte surface reduces light reflection, and the glossy surface is easy to clean. Besides white and blue, we also make belts in other colors to meet different needs.
